Sending workers to Austria? Its requirements are built in.

Austrian pay comes from sector agreements, not a statutory minimum wage, and inspectors check the pay itself. Obtempera's Austrian template starts from there.

The template for Austria asks for

  • ZKO report
  • Wage group
  • A1 certificate
  • Wage documents in German
  • BUAK (construction)
  • + Your own additions

Why Austria is complex

Austria: the agreement, not the law, sets the pay.

Almost every job in Austria sits under a sector collective agreement, and Austrian inspectors look at the pay itself, not just the paperwork.

  • No statutory minimum wage

The collective agreement (Kollektivvertrag) for the sector sets minimum pay by wage group, so each worker's job and experience decide where they sit.

  • Reported in advance

Postings go to the Finance Ministry's central coordination office (ZKO) before work starts, and wage documents must be available in German.

  • A fund for construction

Companies posting construction workers also pay holiday contributions to BUAK, the sector's holiday and severance fund.

The solution

Ready to go for Austria.

The Austrian template is built around three questions: is the posting reported, is each worker in the wage group you have chosen, and are the documents ready in German?

  1. 01 · Switch on AustriaThe ZKO report, each worker's A1 and the wage group you have placed them in are already part of the template.
  2. 02 · Add what the work needsConstruction projects add BUAK; any project can add its own site rules and inductions.
  3. 03 · Workers send the evidenceFrom their phone, in their own language, workers upload their A1 and give their details once for every Austrian project.
  4. 04 · Checked, then clearedReviewers check each item, and the wage documents sit behind every status, ready for the finance police.
