Latvia sets most terms in its Labour Law, but where a general agreement covers a sector, as in construction, every employer there is bound by it.
General agreements
The construction general agreement binds every employer in the sector, posting companies included, and adds a higher minimum wage.
Hours recorded electronically
Larger construction sites record each worker's time electronically, in a system linked to the State Revenue Service.
Notified postings
Postings are notified to the State Labour Inspectorate before work starts.
